Poppinjay Velvet

We are delighted to re-launch our iconic Poppinjay bird print with a selection of seductive colours in both linen and velvet. This archival design, featuring an enchanting bird nestled within a stylised tree of life, was first wood roller-printed on 27” linen in Lancashire during the 1930s. A true heritage treasure. Printing this design on short pile velvet, magically enriches the print colours with a depth and vibrancy unachievable on rustic linen. Looks stunning upholstered on a chair or sofa, but equally spectacular as window drapes.
